elcome to Arden. The purpose of this prospectus
is to give you a taste of life at our Academy and
I hope that its contents will help convince you
that Arden really is worth a closer look as you make decisions
about your child’s future.
At Arden we pride ourselves in doing our very
best for every pupil, helping them achieve their
full educational potential as they develop into
happy, well-rounded young adults, of whom we
and their parents can be very proud. Arden has
an excellent record of academic achievement, as
well as excelling in pastoral care, and continues
to be described by Ofsted as an “outstandingly
successful school”.
Our consistently high standards and impressive
examination results are founded upon the
inspirational teaching of the staff and the hard work and
discipline of our students: Positive young people who aspire to
the highest levels of attainment.
Over the last decade, Arden’s achievements have received
widespread recognition. We take special pride in the remarkable
and consistent progress made by each and every pupil.
Their overall development is continuously underpinned by
Arden’s core principles of fairness, equality and equal opportunity
for all.
The unique vitality of Arden can be sensed
throughout the Academy. There is a positive
buzz that extends from our intake classes
through the middle years and into the popular
and highly successful Sixth Form, which today
has over 300 students.
We are a very happy school with a proud past.
Ofsted reported that “Arden is an outstanding
school at the heart of the community, where
students thrive. They develop into confident,
articulate young people who trust and care for
each other”.
There is no doubt that Arden and its pupils today build on a
great academic heritage and we embrace the challenges of
the future with optimism. Ours is a caring and compassionate
school. Perhaps you will decide that we should care for your
child. The staff, pupils and I would be delighted to welcome
you to Arden and to show you round, so do please come
and judge for yourself.
