FireAlarms
Protection of people and property is vital to
the safe and successful running of any business
or organisation. For this reason we consider
the installation and servicing of fire alarm and
emergency lighting systems an important part of our
range of products and services. It is a legal requirement
for every business to have a fire risk assessment in place,
the emphasis being placed on PREVENTING fires and
reducing risk. Anyone who has control over premises must
take reasonable precautions to reduce the risk from fire and
ensure people can safely escape if a fire occurs.
Making the choice between a Conventional or Addressable System
Conventional systems offer extremely cost effective protection against
fire for smaller premises. Detection devices and audible warning
devices are split into zones, the control panel will indicate which zone
has been triggered, giving you or the fire brigade an indication of the
area of activation.
A more intelligent ‘analogue addressable system’ maybe more suitable for
larger premises. An addressable system is able to identify specific items of
equipment or areas and provide an on screen text display at the control panel
or repeater panel identifying fire activations, disconnections and faults.
24 hour peace-of-mind
Northern Security can remote monitor all types
of fire alarm systems using the telephone or other networks, and respond
to activations through our 24 hour control room.
AccessControl
In the current climate of change and uncertainty it has become
increasingly important for organisations to effectively manage
and/or restrict access to key areas within the workplace.
A professionally installed access control or intercom system
can greatly reduce the risk of theft, malicious attack and
unauthorised entry. This is achieved by limiting and monitoring
movement within sensitive and strategically important areas.
We have the skills, experience and technical knowhow to
install and commission fully integrated access control and
biometric systems to meet the demands of any security
conscious organisation.
Standard door access options
Access control technology has for many
years been primarily based around swipe card and proximity token readers,
along with traditional keypad entry devices. For many applications these
systems are more than adequate and offer an extremely cost effective solution.
The latest technology
Biometric systems (fingerprint recognition, retina
scanning, and voice recognition) overcome many of the drawbacks
associated with more traditional systems. Problems such as lost or stolen
swipe cards, worn or damaged cards or tokens, forged cards, and forgotten
PIN numbers will be a thing of the past.
